Phillip "Phip" Sams, Senior Minister

Phip came back to Kingsport in 2008 and began his ministry here at First Christian in October.   Phip is a native of Kingsport and a "Timothy" of this church, growing up here and being ordained into the Christian ministry here in 1967.

Phip has held ministries in Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois and Arkansas over the past 50 years.

Rebecca Phillips, Administrative Assistant

Rebecca is a member of First Christian and a welcoming voice on the phone and a welcoming face to the weekday visitor.   She's been working in the church office since 2004.  

If you have questions about FCC, Rebecca is the best person to start with!  She'll gladly direct you to the right person to answer your questions.

The Elders of First Christian Church

Our Elders are men who have been chosen by the Holy Spirit and affirmed by the congregation to serve as the primary servants for this body of believers.  They are not here to rule, but to serve as shepherds, teachers and leaders who love the Lord and His church.
